Abstract
The Iowa Picture Interpretation Test and a perceptual-coding test using wooden blocks with numbers were administered to 99 students in Grades 8 and 9. IQs from the students' files in the school were obtained. Pearson product-moment correlations of three variables showed that perceptual-coding scores were related to intelligence and achievement imagery index of Iowa Picture Interpretation Test. Intelligence and the achievement imagery index of the IPIT were not correlated significantly. Further, multiple correlation showed that achievement imagery index of IPIT and IQ taken together were significantly related to perceptual-coding scores.
