Abstract
The Hand Test was administered to 60 institutionalized mentally retarded adults (36 men and 24 women) ranging in age from 19 to 69 yr. who resided in a residential facility. Six weeks later the subjects were again administered the test by the same examiner. Significant correlations between test-retest administrations were found. The results suggest that the projective Hand Test possesses sufficient reliability to be used clinically with institutionalized mentally retarded adults.
