Abstract
A scale based on analysis of Milton and Rose Friedmans' book Free to Choose was constructed and interpreted within the framework of the Apollonian-Dionysian, West-East dimensions of preferred cognitive styles and value categories. Implications of societal endorsement of the Friedmans' concepts were discussed with respect to economic policies and favored ideological climate.
