Attitudes of Wolof Adolescents toward Peers and Parents as Revealed on a Sentence-Completion Test

Abstract

A sentence-completion test given 955 secondary school students showed their attitudes toward peers of the opposite sex are less positive than those toward peers of the same sex and that attitudes toward the mother are more positive that those towards the father. These adolescents seem to be looking to parents more than to peers.
