Abstract

In this research note technical properties of a Dutch triadic forced-choice Machiavellianism scale are examined. Data from 64 and 53 male college students in two surveys indicate that the reliabilities are in the .30s and rather low. Besides, the Dutch Mach V is not insensitive to a social desirability response-set; correlations in the .30s were found with a Social Desirability scale. Some solutions are mentioned.
