Abstract
The stability of retardates' responses to modified semantic differential scales was investigated. Ss were 73 13- to 17-yr.-old students in classes for the educable mentally retarded. Results, in general, indicate sufficient consistency to warrant additional exploration with these scales and population. A significant relationship was found between response consistency and intelligence, with relatively more intelligent Ss evidencing more consistency.
