Abstract
50 older adults were interviewed with respect to identifying past regrets. Subjects resided in nursing homes and in the community. 21 subjects reported not having any regrets, and 83% of these resided in nursing homes. The findings are discussed in terms of processes of disengagement, life review, and coming to terms with life.
