Abstract
10 studies chat included comparisons of dominant and nondominant grip strength are summarized, Grip strength is typically greater on the dominant than on the nondominant side, but the difference between sides varies widely among studies and depends on whether individuals are right- or left-hand dominant. Available information may be insufficient to justify using between-side comparisons to make judgments about grip-strength impairments.
