Adolescents' Self-Disclosure of Potentially Embarrassing Events

Abstract

Intended self-disclosure of 12 embarrassing events was measured for 71 adolescents. Considered most embarrassing were events involving physical self-concept with subjects selecting same-sex friends and mothers as primary preferences for self-disclosure.
