Abstract

Ss, 13 Macaca speciosa, 7 Macaca mulatta and 10 Macaca ira monkeys were restrained for 24 hr. Before and after restraint blood samples were drawn from 18 but only once from 12 monkeys. Plasma 17-OHCS levels of all species increased after restraint. Findings are related to genetic and stress factors.
