English Students' Perception of Heath and Ideal Self

Abstract

50 English university students were asked to give their perceptions of Prime Minister Heath and of the ideal self using the Activity Vector Analysis. Two distinct clusters were noted which correspond quite closely to previously obtained perceptions of national leaders vs the ideal self-concept. The mean vectors for the Heath vs ideal self clusters were essentially uncorrelated ( r = −.17).
