Abstract
This research examined the relative hours worked by spouses of managerial and professional women ( n = 202) and men ( n = 222) working in demanding jobs in a single large professional services firm. More women's than men's spouses worked relatively more hours. Women with children had the highest percentage of spouses working relatively more hours.
