Abstract
The hand preference of 357 men (20 to 69 yr.) and 332 women (20 to 68 yr.) was assessed by the Edinburgh Handedness Inventory. Analysis showed that (i) 20- to 29-yr.-old men have a higher frequency of left-and mixed-handedness and a lower frequency of right-handedness than women; (ii) 40+-yr.-old men have a lower frequency of mixed-handedness and a higher frequency of right-handedness; (iii) the manual preference of women was not related to age.
