Abstract
Seventh- and eighth-grade students took an 18-item multiple-choice achievement test. One group of 131 randomly assigned examinees took the test under a procedure which required them to answer until correct and gave immediate total feedback while the other group of 156 students took the test under conventional multiple-choice conditions. The coefficient alpha reliabilities of the two sets of scores were .64 and .53, respectively. The generality of the findings of this and previous studies was discussed.
