Abstract
This study examined the relationships between unemployment rates and employees' tenure. Tenure records for over six years were collected for 177 direct-care staff. Analysis suggested that employees' tenure was related to the unemployment rates at the time the employees joined the organization. Employees stayed longer with the organization if they joined at times of higher unemployment.
