Abstract
Norms for the Dogmatism scale are reported for 37 samples of various populations. Women scored consistently lower than men, and the difference seems due to a few items. Wide variations in the means reported indicate that the Dogmatism scale is probably highly sensitive to subcultural differences, in turn indicating that local norms for large samples should be obtained before using the Dogmatism scale as an independent variable.
