Abstract
Inhibition and consolidation theories of psychomotor reminiscence were examined under spaced practice conditions in which the intertrial intervals were constant, gradually increasing, or gradually decreasing. Data for 80 subjects conformed more closely to predictions derived from inhibition theory than to those derived from consolidation theory.
