Abstract
An investigation was undertaken to examine visual-field differences for the perception of tachistoscopically presented consonant vowel (CV) syllables. 10 normal right-handed college-age subjects viewed CV syllables presented tachistoscopically for 10 msec, in unilateral and bilateral modes. Statistical analysis yielded a left visual-field, right-hemisphere advantage for the bilateral mode of presentation only.
