Abstract
In attributing causes for problem behavior a sample of 12 psychiatrists showed a significant tendency to make more attributions of a dispositional nature than did a sample of 14 clinical psychologists. The psychiatrists also made more such attributions than a sample of 11 professionals of comparable age and status who had no clinical experience.
