Abstract
The CFF was determined in a group of 18 unilateral arm amputees, who may be viewed as possessing a limited degree of cutaneous deprivation, and a group of 18 matched controls. Although the amputees showed a higher CFF (better resolving power) relative to the controls, the results only bordered on statistical significance. Several suggestions for future research are offered.
