Abstract

Most people with chronic hepatitis C have no symptoms and are unaware that they have the disease. Men are at higher risk of hepatitis C and more likely to have faster progression to complications. Due to significant improvements in treatment, the disease can effectively be eliminated. This article highlights the importance of the Hepatitis C Elimination Programme in achieving this goal.
