Abstract
Flat‐top light is widely used in laser processing, and a variety of flat‐top beam shaping schemes have been proposed. Flat‐top beam shaping using Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS) can generate flat‐top beam with different diameters without changing the experimental setup. The influence of the fringing field effect and beam utilization range of LCoS on the shaping process is analyzed. A hologram optimization scheme is designed, and onedimensional flat‐top beam with different diameters is generated in simulation and experiment.
