Comparative study of domination parameters with the π‐electronic energy of benzenoid hydrocarbons

Abstract

AbstractA graph consist of vertex set and edge set . A dominating set of a graph is a subset of , such that any vertex of is either in or has a neighbor in . The domination number of a graph is the number of vertices in a minimum dominating set. In this article, we find the values of seven important domination parameters namely, paired domination number , independent domination number , connected domination number , restrained domination number , total domination number , split domination number , and non‐split domination number for a class of molecular compounds of benzenoid hydrocarbons. Further, we perform a comparative analysis of these parameters with the ‐electronic energy of benzenoid hydrocarbons. The parameters which are highly correlated with ‐electronic energy of benzenoid hydrocarbons to be further studied for quantitative property relationship/structure‐activity.
