Abstract
Abstract1,2,4‐Triazols represent important heterocyclic compounds which have found extensive application in the pharmaceutical agrochemical and material industries. Herein, we reported an acid‐promoted solvent‐free synthesis of 1,2,4‐triazols from N‐tosylhydrazonyl chlorides and nitriles at room temperature. Various N‐tosylhydrazonyl chlorides and nitriles were examined, and the transformation was suitable for a wide spectrum of substrates. Two simple acid‐promoted cyclization pathways were proposed for the transformation.
