Abstract
Stings and bites serve as a natural form of defense for aquatic and terrestial life. These defenses have garnered recognition and respect from the medical community as a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Envenomation or infection are often the result of close encounters with wildlife and at times can be life‐threatening. Therefore, medical providers should be aware of their variable clinical presentations and the available treatment options or lack thereof. In this chapter we discuss the clinical manifestations and management options for stings and bites from a diverse group of marine and terrestial species.
