Abstract
There is a vast variation in life expectancy and risk of preventable illness and death across the globe with the world’s poor bearing the brunt of this. Aiming at reducing such health disparities forms the basis of the global health discipline. This chapter explores the development global health and highlights key players and principles. It aims to share what a crucial role understanding and addressing dermatological disorders has for the well‐being of our populations, recognising that skin health is global health.
