Abstract
Background: Although a potentially life‐threatening endocrine emergency, if diagnosed promptly and treated appropriately, the majority of acute Addisonian crises represent very rewarding cases to treat. A complete review of the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic hypoadrenocorticism (including atypical Addison's disease) was published in In Practice (Spence and others 2018).Aim of the article: This article aims to supplement the previously published review with some additional considerations in the management of acute Addisonian crises.
