Abstract

Key Clinical MessageA middle‐aged female veteran artistic gymnast sustained an avulsion injury of the latissimus dorsi and teres major. The case reveals possible pitfalls in the current classification system and illustrates how a nonoperative approach, in contrast to recommended guidelines, was adequate for an excellent clinical outcome.
