Abstract

Core Ideas Under a moderate to high pricing structure, a subsurface irrigation system can pay for itself when growing corn. A twin‐row planter does not increase yield or increase financial returns regardless of irrigation system. Financial returns will likely be higher under sub‐surface irrigation when compared with dryland corn production.
