Abstract
AbstractIn this paper, a non‐Cp* cobalt‐catalyzed [4+1] spirocyclization of aromatic amides with cyclic diazo compounds for the synthesis of pentatomic spirolactams is presented. The reaction features with high regio/chemoselectivity by using cheap and commercially available base metal catalyzed C−H/N−H bond functionalization. Moreover, the practicability of this developed protocol is further demonstrated by the removal of the directing group and gram‐scale synthesis.
