Key points Research integrity is impossible to achieve without digital innovation. Humans and machines have complementary strengths, which we should harness for collaboration. We have backed ourselves into a corner with the way we have built current publishing infrastructure. Today's research integrity solutions are downstream, but innovation requires integration throughout publishing infrastructure.
