P‐53: A Real‐time Method for Preventing AM Mini‐LED COG Image Sticking based on Display Content History and Heat Diffusion

Abstract

The MLED (Mini‐LED) has excellent color saturation and contrast. MLED based on COG (Chip On Class) has ultra low current. But it suffers a difficulty that its red light luminescent efficiency is drastically hindered by high temperature of screen. Image sticking occurs to the full‐screen gray picture because of temperature differ‐ ence among areas. To prevent image sticking problem and improve the visual quality of splicing screen, we propose a novel method to estimate the compensation value for red channel and apply this compensation to acquire chroma uniformity. Our method is imple‐ mented in FPGA to achieve real‐time performance. Experimental results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
