Abstract

AbstractThe convolutional perfectly matched layer (CPML) is implemented for the low‐dispersion one‐step leapfrog hybrid implicit‐explicit (HIE) finite‐difference time‐domain (FDTD) method. The implementation process of CPML in the low‐dispersion leapfrog HIE‐FDTD method is demonstrated in this work. In addition, a dual‐band multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) antenna was simulated and designed using the proposed scheme, and the dual‐band MIMO antenna was also fabricated and measured. The effectiveness of the proposed scheme was verified by comparing the simulation and experimental results of scattering parameters, relative errors, and radiation patterns.
