Abstract

AbstractThe objective of the present study is to review the behavior of nanobubbles with hydrophobic and hydrophilic surfaces. In most of the situations, it is desirable that the water particles adhere to the surface, called hydrophilic surface and in some cases, the water particles move away from the surface, called hydrophobic surfaces. Nanobubbles owing to their extraordinary physio‐chemical properties find their application in waste water treatment, aquaculture, cultivation of yeast, oil refineries and agriculture, etc. This review article addresses the unpredictable behavior of nanobubbles with different surfaces according to previous studies and the various procedures to confirm the existence of such bubbles on those surfaces.
