Abstract

AbstractA numerical analysis is conducted for the load‐bearing fire test of composite flooring systems composed of flat RC slabs and unprotected beams (beams with no fire protection covering), and the test results and numerical analysis results are compared. The main aim of the numerical analysis is to verify the accuracy of the numerical analysis approach as well as to analyse the stress distribution within the composite floor when the membrane functions as intended, the data for which are difficult to obtain from the load‐bearing fire test.
