Abstract
AbstractReinforcement of cement concrete with basalt fiber reduces their shrinkage, increases crack resistance and compressive strength (by 30‐50%), and flexural tension by more than two times. Basalt fiber‐reinforced concrete loses its strength characteristics over time due to alkaline corrosion of the fiber surface. The destruction occurs as a result of the interaction of the surface of the fiber with hydrate of lime, which is released during the hardening of cement. To increase the stability of the fiber, an active siliceous component is introduced into the concrete mixture ‐ ferromanganese production waste. This gave an opportunity significantly to improve the strength characteristics of fiber‐reinforced basalt fiber of concrete during long‐term storage due to a decrease in the content in the system Calcium Hydroxid Ca(OH)2 and preservation of the fiber surface without corrosion.
