Abstract
Platelet adhesiveness and lipoprotein lipase (clearing factor lipase) activity have been measured in 22 patients with benign prostatic obstruction and in 20 patients with prostatic carcinoma.
The total platelet counts and the number of adherent platelets were significantly higher and the lipoprotein lipase responses to heparin were significantly lower in the patients with carcinoma.
