Abstract
Abstract
A case is reported of acute appendicitis complicated by disseminated intravascular coagulation and spasm of the peripheral arteries, which led to bilateral amputation of the feet. The cause of the complication is supposed to be endotoxaemia. The possibility of inhibited function of the patient's reticirlo-endotheliai system is suggested.
