Abstract

Abstract A case is reported of incipient gangrene of the right arm developing after a Blalock-Taussig (subclavian-pulmonary) shunt operation in an infant. The ischaemia was reversed by immediate common carotid-axillary artery-vein bypass, using a microvascular technique.
