Abstract
Abstract
An unusual case is reported of spontaneous perforation of the oesophagus in which there was a marked absence of intial smptoms. It is suggested that this condition be considered in the differential diagnosis of extensive hydropheumothorax. The importance of early diagnosis as a perequisite to successful treatment is emphasized.
