Abstract
Abstract
Using assessment of the delayed hypersensitivity response to a new antigen–in this study 2–4-dinitrochlorobenzene–as a measure of cellular immunity in patients with rectal cancer has shown highly significant correlation with pathological staging. No relationship between cellular immunity and rate of proliferation of rectal tumours could be established. The significance of these results is discussed.
