Abstract

Abstract The distribution of the chronic gastric mucosal reaction (CGMR) that resulted from the exposure of the mucosa to refluxing duodenal contents did not suggest that one area of the stomach was more susceptible than another. The earliest histological appearances of established CGMR as seen 3 months after surgery were epithelial proliferation and pseudo-pyloric metaplasia.
