Abstract
Abstract
A case is reported of an aneurysm of the posterior tibia1 artery associated with a solitary osteochondroma of the upper end of the tibia. No previous account of such a lesion has been found, but 14 somewhat similar cases of popliteal aneurysms due to exostosis of the lower end of the femur are briefly reviewed. The mechanism of production of these lesions and methods of treatment are discussed. Prophylactic removal of benign skeletal tumours encroaching on the popliteal fossa is recommended.
