Abstract
AbstractHerein, we report the synthesis of the benzoxepine derivatives via a two‐fold ring rearrangement metathesis (RRM). Using the ring strain as deriving force, we provide a useful approach to assemble the seven‐membered benzo‐oxepine derivatives that are otherwise difficult to realize due to unfavorable entropic reasons. The synthetic route to the RRM products involves the Diels‐Alder reactions, diallylation, and RRM as key steps.
