Abstract
AbstractThis study used a hydrothermal approach to create porous ZnO nanoparticles with the help of glucose (Glu), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). The morphological characterization revealed some small pores on the surface of the samples, all of which were in the 10–20 nm pore size range. The gas test revealed that the Glu‐ZnO material performed best for acetone at 120 °C, with a response value of 82 for 100 ppm, which was approximately ten times for that of pure ZnO (8.6), and the response/recovery time was also twice as short.
