Abstract
AbstractA novel ZnO/3A (3A molecular sieve) catalyst was prepared by using a direct hydrolysis method and applied for acetylene acetoxylation. After optimizing the loading of Zn, we compared the catalytic performance of ZnO/3A and ZnO/AC (activated carbon), and found that catalytic performance of ZnO/3A was lower than ZnO/AC due to its weaker acetylene adsorption. ZnO/3A exhibited excellent thermal stability, which is useful for its coke resistence by removing the carbon deposition. By characterizing the fresh, deactivated and regenerated ZnO/3A catalysts, it was found that the active zinc component loss was the main cause of its deactivation, while carbon deposition did not affect catalytic performance of ZnO/3A catalyst.
