Abstract
AbstractA convenient and base promoted methodology for the synthesis of 3‐arylquinoxalin‐2(1H)‐ones through direct C−H arylation of quinoxalin‐2(H)‐ones with arylhydrazine hydrochlorides was developed. Preliminary studies suggest that the reaction undergoes an aryl radical participation process generated via oxidative denitrogenation of arylhydrazine under ambient air atmosphere.
