Transglycosylation Reaction: Synthesis and Supramolecular Study of Carbohydrate‐Cased C2‐Symmetric 20‐ and 22‐Membered Macrocyclic Dinucleosides

Abstract

AbstractBis‐uracil nucleoside, in which the nucleobase is anchored to C2‐symmetric 22‐membered macrocycle (CSM‐3), was synthesized by nucleosidation of 1,2‐isopropylidenefuranose ring‐fused macrocycle. The bis‐uracil nucleoside exhibited petal flake‐like morphology in ethanolic solution. A change from petal‐like to bundle‐like morphology was observed on the addition of N6‐aminobenzoyl purine to the bis‐uracil nucleoside.
