Abstract
AbstractWe analyze the model dependence of the observable properties of magnetized compact stars. To do so, we considered two sets of structure equations that describe axially symmetric stars under the action of a uniform magnetic field. These structure equations are applied to study the properties of three equations of state corresponding to magnetized white dwarfs, strange stars, and Bose‐Einstein condensate stars. For each equation of state (EoS), we compared the results of both macroscopic models and found that for weak magnetic fields, the observables are mainly governed by the EoS. As the magnetic field increases, the details of the models start to gain relevance.
