Abstract

AbstractThis study describes a case of lung collapse and its successful repair in a stranded loggerhead sea turtle, utilising coelomic gas aspiration via the prefemoral region. This animal presented unbuoyant swimming, was diagnosed via computed tomography scanning, treated successfully and returned to the sea following a 6‐week rehabilitation period.
